These sessions are a programme of x 6 weekly sessions for parent carers who are at the start of their child’s autism journey.
Pre-Diagnosis Support for Parent Carers
Beginning Your Child’s Autism Journey
These sessions provide a guide for parents carers and offer strategies to support their child whilst waiting for a diagnosis. Parent carers are asked to commit to all six sessions.

1:1 Post Diagnostic Support
The Post-Diagnosis Support programme is a series of 1:1 sessions giving the opportunity for autistic individuals to learn more about their diagnosis, what this may mean for them, and how to access support.
The 1:1 sessions are tailored to the individual covering topics such as social communication, social interaction, social imagination and sensory differences. We focus on future planning and identify strategies that empower the individual to better navigate their world.
The programme consists of approximately eight 1:1 sessions which focuses on different aspects of autism. Our sessions include activities where we support autistic individuals using videos, discussions and explanations. At the end of the programme individuals will receive their own Autism Profile.
Mini Explorers Sensory Sessions
These sessions will involve sensory exploration and story sharing. They are open to children aged 0-5 with additional needs and their parent/carer. No diagnosis is necessary. Please note that you must stay with your child throughout the session.

We are holding sessions at Thorne Library and also Denaby & Conisbrough Family Hubs. Please click on the buttons below to access the dates and times for the sessions
